Be a “Big”

In our own lives, each of us was touched by someone– other than our parents– who broadened our horizons and brought a little magic into our lives.

By becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister, you can do the same for a child. And you will both be forever changed by the experience.

We need volunteers who:

• Can develop a friendship with a child
• Are in high school (site-based program), 2nd-semester college student or 20+ years of age (community-based program), and a resident of the service area for six months or more
• Possess high levels of stability, honesty, and integrity
• Are caring and concerned
• Will undergo our assessment process which consists of a criminal record check, references, an in-depth interview, and a home visit

We are not looking for Bigs to spend money on their Littles or to provide them with extravagant outings but to simply incorporate them into their lifestyle and share time with them.
