    Community-Based Program

Children in this program range from ages 6-15. Volunteers spend time each week with a child out in the community. Through this program, you and your Little Brother or Sister can go to the park, watch movies, go to sporting events, go skating, and so much more. Fit your Little into any activity that you think is fun!

    Teen Mother Program

This program is the same as our community-based program, except the Little is a teen mom. These teens need a positive influence, and the extra support of knowing that someone is there to talk, motivate, and be a friend.

    Mentoring Children of Prisoners

This program is the same as our community-based program, except the Little has a parent or guardian who is currently or has been incarcerated.

    Site-Based Program

Spend time with your Little Brother or Sister at their school. In this program, you can go to eat lunch, play games, read, and talk with your Little Brother or Sister. Volunteers can go during their lunch breaks, or spend time with their Little after school.

    Graduate, It Pays.

Thirty percent of the 9th graders in Forsyth county will not graduate from high school in four years. Big Brothers Big Sisters Services, Inc. has committed to participate in a community collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Communities in Schools and various community leaders to support Graduate. It Pays.

This initiative will match caring adults with high school students to ensure they stay in school and graduate.

Big Brothers Big Sisters will mentor repeating 9th graders to help them complete the 9th grade and move to the 10th grade.

Adult volunteers will meet with the student for at least one hour per week at the high school. Your friendship and guidance will help your student grow in confidence and help him or her consider their future in new ways.
