10th Annual Big For a Day event

Our 10th annual Big For a Day event will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009.  Big For a Day is an event where community leaders from various organizations takes a child, who’s currently waitng on a big brother or sister,  to their jobs. They introduce the child to their employees/coworkers and show the child their job responsibilities, other positions, and show the child why their jobs are important.

This event is designed to give visibility and media attention to the need that we have for big brother and sister volunteers.  The waiting list children who participate with Big For a Day also get exposed to future career options.
